NORTH MANCHESTER – Loreen A. Hoover, 84, of North Manchester, died at 7 a.m. April 10, 2012, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Sept. 15, 1927, in Gilead, to Lynn and Rhea Rager Landis. On April 9, 1951, she married John C. Hoover, who survives.
She was a homemaker and did in-home babysitting for 30 years. She was a 1945 Gilead High School graduate.
Surviving are a son, Robert (and spouse Jacqueline) Hoover, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters, Gina (and spouse Barry) Parker, Franklin, Tenn., and Pam (and spouse Bob) Gearhart, Silver Lake; two brothers, LeRoy (and spouse Rose Ann) Landis, Auburn, and Lloyd (and spouse Helen) Landis, Warsaw; a sister, Lauretta Moore, Gilead; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
