BOURBON – Lois L. Baker, 84, Bourbon, passed away peacefully at 3:30 a.m. Feb. 18, 2014.
She was born May 31, 1929, in Milford to Lloyd and Edna Ewing Ritchison. On Aug. 9, 1985, she married Herbert G. Baker, who died Feb. 19, 2012.
She was a resident of the area all her life. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She worked in the restaurant business her entire life. She owned her own restaurant in Bourbon – The Four D’s Truck stop. She was also a nursery school teacher in the 1960s in her own home. She loved playing bingo, eating her meals at REAL Services and gambling. She did a lot for people of the Bourbon Community by organizing many fundraisers and took people to doctor’s appointments. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She was a member of many community organizations which include Triton Kiwanis Club, Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary of Post #424 and Moose Lodge #741 of Plymouth.
 She will be missed by her four daughters; Debbie (and spouse Lonnie) Witham, Warsaw; Dena (and spouse Larry) Wattenbarger, Dava (and spouse Mark) Barton and Dara (and spouse Greg) Greenawalt, all of Bourbon; three stepchildren: Candace (and spouse Greg) Craft, Kimberly (and spouse Kris) Berger, both of Bourbon; and Stacy (and spouse Mike) Sheetz, Plymouth; seven grandchildren: Lisa Scott, Leslie Witham, Braxton Barton, Erica Haag, Alison Sawyer, Morgan McClarnon and Cory McClarnon; six stepgrandchildren: Matthew Craft, Jennifer Potter, Tyler Berger, Samantha, Jordan and McKenzie Sheetz: 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother Carol (and spouse Marilyn) Ritchison, Warsaw; a brother-in-law, Robert Baker, Washington Court House, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Dawn Francis; great-grandson, Kyle Pugh; a sister, Rachel Baker; and a brother, Duane Ritchison.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bourbon First United Methodist Church, 204 N. Washington St., Bourbon, with the Revs. Stormy Scherer-Berry of Bourbon First United Methodist Church, and Mark Cottrill of Bourbon United Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial is in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
