AKRON — Lois C. Woolley, 92, Akron, died at 12:35 a.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born March 25, 1926, to Richard M. and Gertrude Sunday Gray. On Feb. 14, 1946, in Akron, she was married to Allen A. Woolley. He survives.
She worked in earlier years at the Akron newspaper and Chamberlain Products of Akron, as well as being a homemaker.
She attended Akron Church of God. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and all kinds of needlework. She made many Halloween costumes for her daughters. Also in earlier years she liked to bowl.
She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Woolley, Akron; daughters, Peggy Sellers, Warsaw, and Bonita Daine, Akron; grandchildren, Eric Daine (wife Bridget Fox) and Layla (husband Tim) Kingston; and great-grandchildren: Jack, Anna and Owen Kingston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Cora K. Benner, Vivian Spence and Mary Ellen Wise; and brothers: Richard O., Clifford, John W., Robert, Wm. Edward and Garland “Bud” Gray.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Pastor Kathy Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home.
