I just saw a piece on the nightly news. OK, yeah, I watch it. I just don't believe the way they present it. I see what happened and apply logic and common sense.
Anyway, a couple of deer crashed through a window in a school in New Jersey, into a teacher's resource room. There was a teacher and a few students in the room. They fled and closed the door. Animal control came and resolved the situation. Then the school canceled "outside recess for the rest of the day as a precaution."
What exactly was the precaution? Did they think the deer were hiding in wait for the children? Was there a deer revolution going on? Did the school think that the deer had decided to attack children? How absurd do the supposedly educated have to get before the logical citizens stop taking this kind of foolishness? Come on. Will logic never again prevail, or will we die slaves to foolish but educated people?
Education has become the replacement for intelligence.
Learning to pass tests does not define intelligence, that is what education has become, "pass the test." Never mind being able to apply the theory of what you have learned, as long as you passed the test.
