Littering

Editor, Times-Union:

Littering is not the best way of getting rid of your trash. It kills animals, plants and more. Read what happened to my mom and me, and next time think before throwing out your trash. It's a law, too!

One day, my mom and I were walking and we started to see all this trash everywhere. I asked my mom why do people do this to the world, and it's not good to do this. Then we kept on walking and we came upon trash and trash. There was trash everywhere we went. It was horrible! I was also looking around and holding on to my dog so he couldn't get into it.

The next day we came back with bags and we started to pick up trash. We picked up so many cans and had so many bags that when we went to turn them in, it took about 15 minutes to get them all weighed. We got $56.76. Yes, you heard right - $56.76.

We need your help! Tell people that you know about littering and how bad and wrong it is. Help the wildlife and your town today. You don't have to do it alone. Get some friends together and pick up trash as a team. So don't think you can't help because you're too small or too weak. Just a little effort like this can make a difference in the world. So help and be proud of yourself.
