ELWOOD – Linda Marie Sweatland, 58, Anderson, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on March 19, 1960, to Louis and Gwendolyn Gawthrop Snyder.
On Aug. 16, 1980, she married the love of her life, Jeffrey C. Sweatland.
Linda was employed at Red Gold Inc. for more than 17 years, where she worked in the accounts receivable department. Linda loved gardening and having animals. She loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed time spent fishing with them.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jeffrey Sweatland, Anderson; mother, Gwendolyn M. Snyder; two sons, Joshua J. (Kristen) Sweatland, Oveido, Fla., and Jacob J. (Hillary) Sweatland, Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren, Jackson Sweatland, Kennedee Sweatland, Madelyn Sweatland and Judah Sweatland; two brothers, Randall (Lora) Snyder and Kevin Snyder; several in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Louis L. Snyder.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St., Elwood.
A graveside funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N. Maple Ave., Warsaw, with the Rev. Bruce Barlow officiating.
