Editor, Times-Union: Where in the world are our public officials? When Desert Fox started off oil, gas, and heating oil futures prices jumped about 4 cents. But ... local gas pump prices jumped as much as 16 cents. Prices in neighboring communities didn't even budge. How in the world can local stations justify raising prices on gasoline that has already been paid for and delivered to their suppliers? It seems to me that what we have here is an old fashioned price gouge. For those who do not know, price gouging (when individuals take advantage of panics, artificial shortages, etc. and increase their profit margins) is illegal. Where are the regulatory agencies? Our community needs to express their anger in two ways: one tell the station managers/owners of your dissatisfaction, and two show that dissatisfaction with your purchasing choices. Go to Etna Green, Larwill, Elkhart wherever there is honest competition making prices. Call your state regulatory agency, write you state and local representatives. Do something!

Lost Friends
Editor, Times-Union: Across the center of the road veering to the left - the teenager drove his Dodge Ram truck! Right into the turning left Cavalier car carrying my grandson.
Energy was depicted at 63 mph. From a Dodge Ram. Velocity range momentum on the new red truck at 68 mph. A skid of 43 feet, an impact of 64 mph and the need of 364 feet to stop a truck that size, the driver without clear mind veering to the left made an accident happen.
Why did 4.2 seconds of clear thought escape a teenager's mind when a car in sight, in front of him occurred?
Now four lives are stilled because four other teenagers didn't have time or wouldn't take time for the car they saw in the intersection to move out of the way. Life has screeched to a halt! Four lives permanently stilled from the lives of four other teenagers. The party fun, the drinking, the substance found, in the hands of underage people again! When are they ever going to learn that drinking and driving is not fun, especially for the ones left behind to clean up the messes the teenagers have made?
Precious moments they gave us are left behind and installed in our minds forever. For our innocent die at all ages when teenagers drink and drive for fun!
Come on Kosciusko County Residents, State of Indiana, Our WORLD we have got to reconstruct the "Just For Fun" list our students, friends and teenagers can do together.

Impeachment
Editor, Times-Union: The business of impeaching Clinton based on lying to the Grand Jury over sex is a bit ridiculous, considering that he has committed some things that should be real impeachable items.
1. Monies accepted from the Red Chinese for campaigning.
2. Turning some of our military to the direct control of the U.N.
3. Turning the control of some of our National Parks over to the U.N. and making like it is the EPA or the Environmentalist, doing the controlling.
4. Our involvement in a Civil War (Bosnia) where we have been for over 2 years. The cost of this is being borne by NATO. Who pays most of NATO? You guessed it.
5. Trying to lease our closed Naval repair facilities at Long Beach, California, to the Red Chinese Military.
These should all be impeachable offenses. Yet, if you look at them it shows that Congress has not done their job ... too well.
For those of you that are so stupid and that's most of you. You had better get to the library and read some of the stuff available and see what the real purpose is and the history of Rhodes scholars. You had better find what a Bilderberger is and their agenda. Mr. Clinton is a member. You had better check on a few other things.
You for the most part are responsible for the mess this county is in because you have refused to get involved. Most of you claim to be good Christians and other sects that have a belief in God. I wonder, is God going to forgive you for your lack of involvement. Particularly considering this nation was founded on principles that came straight from the Bible.
