Leggings

Editor, Times-Union:

I'm an 18-year-old attending WCHS as a senior this year. In four years of high school, I have seen many repulsive things. However, this year takes the cake.

I understand the new fashion trend of wearing leggings, and find it very cute - with a dress over it. I am frankly not happy with the permitting of girls wearing leggings without anything covering the lower half of the body.

The last time I checked, spandex was not allowed to be worn to school. Wearing a tshirt and a pair of leggings does not consititute school appropriate attire. Not only is it against school rules, it's not something a lot of people do not want to be subjected to, due to the highlighting of certain parts of the female anatomy.

I have complained to an administrator, who said they would make an announcement about it to the student body. That announcement has yet to come, a month later. So, I pass my concerns to the parents of the Warsaw Community. You deserve to know what your children have to look at every day at school.
