WINONA LAKE – Going 2-1 at their Cougar Classic this weekend, the Lakeland Christian Academy boys basketball team finished second. Clinton Christian won the round-robin tournament with a 3-0 mark, while LCA earned a second-place finish with a 70-35 win over Covenant Christian Saturday night at the Orthopaedic Capital Center at Grace College. LCA began the Classic by falling 51-50 to Clinton Christian Friday, then defeated South Bend Trinity 51-50 in overtime later that night. With their second-place finish, LCA’s Calvin Prinsen and Zarek Finley were named to the all-tournament team. The 4-7 Cougars host Elkhart Christian Academy Friday.
