LCA Girls Win Tingley Invitational HOWE — The Lakeland Christian Academy girls track and field team won Saturday’s Tingley Invitational at Howe Military School, setting three records in the process. The LCA Lady Cougars won the five-team meet, scoring 136 points, with Elkhart Christian taking second with 136. Senior Jo Boren was the top female athlete, winning four events, including the long jump (14-10) and record-setting times in the 200 (27.1) and 400 (1:05). Boren was also a member of the winning 1600 relay. LCA’s Hailey Nieveen also set a record with her time of 17.03 seconds in the 100 hurdles and she also won the 300 hurdles in 54.0 seconds. Emilee Catron also placed first for the Lady Cougars, winning the discus with a throw of 63-3. The LCA boys finished third in the meet, as Chad Wright won the 110 hurdles (18.8) and John Rohrs won the 400 (53.9).
