MIDDLEBURY — The Class 4A No. 10 Warsaw girls basketball team kept its perfect season in tact Saturday at Northridge. Taking on the Northridge Lady Raiders in a Northern Lakes Conference showdown, the Warsaw Lady Tigers got the 52-39 win. With the win, Warsaw is now 13-0 on the year and 3-0 in the NLC, the conference's lone unbeaten. In the critical conference game, which saw the Lady Tigers make 24 of 36 free throws, Warsaw had three girls in double-digit scoring, led by senior Jennifer Walker-Crawford's 16, followed by junior Nikki Grose's 15 and senior Lindsay Baker's 10. Along with her 15 points, Grose also posted 17 rebounds, while Baker led the team with four steals. Up next for Warsaw is an out-of-conference game against Carroll Wednesday at the Tiger Den. The Manchester girls swim team got itself an 89-79 victory at Tippecanoe Valley Saturday. Using depth, the Lady Squires got the victory despite winning just four of the 12 events, with Gabbi Wilcox (200 free, 500 free) winning two. For Valley, Katelyn Gunter (100 fly, 200 IM) and Ericka Webb (50 free, 100 free) each won two events. Valley is back in the pool Tuesday at Rochester and Manchester is at Bluffton Thursday night.
