Lady Squires Top Whitko, Valley In TRC Golf ActionNORTH MANCHESTER – Kelsey Eichenauer was the medalist with a 43, leading Manchester to a pair of Three Rivers Conference girls golf wins Thursday at Sycamore Golf Club.
The Lady Squires shot a four-player score of 209, and Whitko was credited with a win at 250 because Tippecanoe Valley didn’t field a full team.
Sam Kissell shot a 48 for the Lady Squires, and Cora Barnett checked in with a 54. Morgan Stroud shot a 64 and Alissa Bickerstaff carded a 65.
Playing at the junior varsity level, Lydia Little shot a 43 and Madyson Ulrey a 46 for Manchester.
“The girls are continuing to work on their games. Tonight was a great night to continue to focus on what we need to improve as we near September,” Manchester coach Josh Troyer said. “(We’re) looking for a great weekend of individual work.”
Whitko was paced by Bailey Wright at 56. Summer West had a 62 for the Lady Wildcats, with Erin Starkweather and Makayla Compton each shooting 66.
Tippecanoe Valley had three players; Jordan Krotke shot a 59, Bethany Johnson checking in with a 62 and Kelsey Shafer recorded a 72.
Manchester and Whitko will play each other again Tuesday, with West Noble joining the non-conference match at Sycamore. Valley will continue Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday, taking on Rochester and host Maconaquah.
