Lady Squires FallBLUFFTON – Kennedy Fierstos had 20 points for Manchester in its 45-36 non-conference girls basketball loss at Bluffton Saturday night.

Sydney Day had eight points and four rebounds, and Kiera Hatfield pulled down four rebounds for the Lady Squires.

“We didn’t handle Bluffton’s defensive pressure very well,”?manchester coach Jacob Everett said. “Too many mistakes on the offensive end for us tonight that Bluffton was able to take advantage of.”

In the junior varsity matchup, Manchester had four players in double figures in a 51-39 win over the Lady Tigers. The Lady Squires were  led by Eva Bazzoni with 14 points, Mackenzie Day and Emma Garriott had 11 points each, and Kennidy Lauer had 10 in the winning effort.

After opening the season with two wins in four road games, Manchester plays its home and Three Rivers Conference opener Tuesday against Maconaquah. The JV game will top off at 6:15 p.m.
