MENTONE - Kenyon "Ken" Keith Jones, 66, of 7241 S. CR 875W, Claypool, died at 1:57 a.m. Nov. 21, 2009, in Lutheran Hospital Coronary ICU, Fort Wayne, after suffering a massive heart attack Nov. 19. He died surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 28, 1942, in Mentone, to Mervin and Bernice Sine Jones. On June 23, 1962, he married Linda L. Blackburn, who survives. He graduated from Mentone High School in 1960, and was a lifetime grain and livestock farmer. He loved to hunt, fish and to watch sports on TV. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be greatly missed.
Also surviving are six children: Melanie (and spouse Carl) Rosander, Cassopolis, Mich.; Sharon (and spouse Dan) Roberts, Claypool; Audra (and spouse Jim) Rhodes, Plymouth; Mervin (and spouse April) Jones, Mentone; Keith (and spouse Nicole) Jones, Akron; and Valinda Jones, Warsaw; 10 grandchildren: Ryan and Kendra Roberts; Chelsea, Brittany and Grant Rhodes; and Chase, Wade, Reed, Gretchen and Jostyn Jones; and four stepgrandchildren: Caleb and Devin Bandow (Jones); Tifanie Lacefield (Rosander); and April Doll (Rhodes). He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private burial will be in Mentone Cemetery with Dr. Mark Beeson officiating.
