ALBION – Kenneth Eugene Leatherman, 68, passed away Feb. 20, 2015.
He was born Oct. 16, 1946, in Kendallville, to Ernest and Virginia Leatherman. He was married to LuAnn Leatherman, who survives.
He attended Albion High School and Indiana University for two years. He owned and operated Ride On Customs in 1975. He owned and operated Starline Vans with his brother, David, in the 1980s. He started in real estate in 1977.
In 1993 he moved to Syracuse to be closer to his family and his church, and he started Leatherman Realty. In 2003 he expanded his real estate business with Melody Cusick to form Re/Max Partners in Syracuse.
His hobbies included restoring Studebaker cars and trucks, traveling, riding his Harley Davidson and boating. He dearly loved spending his time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
He had a very strong faith and was quick to share that as a leader. He had a regular Bible study that met every Wednesday evening, and he attended Dewart Lake Community Friends Church regularly. He was a kind, gentle, patient caring man who was loved by all who met him.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 605 E. Main St., Albion, with Pastors Keith Huffman and Dan Burnham officiating. Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery, west of Albion.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brazzell Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
