Justin “Dean” Burnworth, 38, Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at his residence.
He was born June 28, 1979, in Columbia City, to Bill and Sandy Smith Burnworth.
He was a Pierceton resident until 1990, when he moved to Fort Wayne. He was an avid baseball, basketball and NASCAR fan. In addition, he enjoyed his Challenger Sports League games, family time and Shirley Temple movies.
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Sandy Burnworth, Pierceton; a brother, Jason (companion Jessica Cone) Burnworth, Pierceton; grandmother, Mary Smith, Pierceton; his “babies,” nephew Austin Burnworth, Warsaw, and niece Ayla Burnworth, Pierceton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded by his “Pa” Donnie Smith and grandparents Willis and Juanita Burnworth Elliot.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 30, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
A funeral service will immediately follow at noon Saturday in the funeral chapel. Pastor Glenn Hall will officiate the service.
Interment will be private in Oakwood Cemetery.
