Josephine "Jo" Dumis, 89, of 1630 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, died at 12:20 a.m. March 14, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in West New York, N.J., to Frank and Josephine Turk. In 1948, in New Jersey, she married Robert Dumis, who died in 1988.
Moving to Warsaw from New Jersey in 1999, she was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She had been a faithful member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 46 years. She had a deep love for God and the Bible. Known for her smile and cheerful disposition, she had a genuine love for people.
Surviving are a son, Robert (and spouse Judy) Dumis, Woodland Park, N.J.; a daughter, Helen (and spouse Brian) Winters, Warsaw; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Debbie, Michael and Lori; and six great-grandchildren, Justin, Alyssa, Jonathan, Rachel, Jessica and Zoe.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at The Kingdom Hall, 3191 W. CR 200S, Warsaw.
