NORTH WEBSTER – Joan L. Baker, 76, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2019, at her home.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1942, in Middleboro, Mass., to Herbert and Roberta Provonche Thomas.
She grew up in Massachusetts, graduated from Middleboro High School and moved to the North Webster area in 1977 from Muncie.
She was married on Dec. 17, 1984, in Warsaw, to Charles E. “Charlie” Baker, who survives.
She retired from Kimble Glass in Warsaw after 25 years.
She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Baker of Warsaw; two daughters, Sherri (Allen) Coy of Syracuse and Wendy (Jack) Bentz of Fort Wayne; three sons: Kevin Ogburn of Syracuse, and Rick (La Donna) Ogburn and Chuck Ogburn, both of North Webster; a former daughter-in-law, Deanna Ogburn; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jason Coy; granddaughter, Amanda Coy; sister, Margaret Thompson; and two brothers, Robert and Herbert Thomas.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.
