NORTH MANCHESTER – Jimmy D. Purvis, 57, of North Manchester, died at 8:17 p.m. April 20, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born April 27, 1955, in Owingsville, Ky., to Ewell and Mary Alice Withrow Purvis. Before its closing, he worked at Warner Corp., North Manchester. Surviving are two sons, Jimmy L. Purvis, Marion, and Michael D. (and spouse Amanda) Purvis, Plymouth; a daughter, Michaela Gordon, Wabash; four brothers: William and Herman Staton, both of North Manchester; David Purvis, Owingsville; and Kenny Purvis, Servia; a sister, Ann Francis Staton, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. A memorial service will be at a later date.
