SYRACUSE — Jerry Louise Abbott, 86, Warsaw, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse.
She was born Feb. 23, 1932, in Xenia, Ohio, to George M. and Ester P. Ford Herr.
She graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton, and was married on Aug. 23, 1952, in Liberty, to Robert W. “Bob” Abbott, who preceded her on Jan. 25, 2012.
She retired from Moore Paper Box Co. in Dayton after 26 years. She lived most of her life in Ohio; wintered in Dundee, Fla.; and moved to the Warsaw area in 2015.
She is survived by a daughter, Lee Anne (Mike) Stewart, Syracuse; three granddaughters: Meghann (Adam) Wood, Warsaw; Janae (Sean) Bergsma, Leesburg; and Nicole Abbott-Farmer, Orlando, Fla.; a grandson, Scott (Amy) Stewart, Syracuse; five granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Michael W. Abbott.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Burial will be at the Huntsville (Ohio) Cemetery.
