LIGONIER – Jeffrey D. Poyser, 60, Cromwell, passed away at 4:06 p.m. June 7, 2015, at Avalon Village, Ligonier.
He was born Oct. 21, 1954, in LaGrange, to Jess D. and Annie Mae Kuhn Poyser.
He graduated from West Noble High School in 1972 and worked at Tenneco for 19 years.  He was a member of 4-H and Sparta Township Fire Department. He was an EMT for a number of years. He was also a member of National Campers and Hikers Association and a lifetime member of the Kentucky Colonels.
Surviving are his father, Jess D. Poyser, Dayton, Ohio; his five siblings: John (and spouse Lucy) Poyser, Minooka, Ill.: Anita (and spouse Larry) Price, North Webster; Alyce Poyser Evans, Bremen; Jon Mock, Valparaiso; and William Mock, Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Dee Poyser, Ohio, and Susan Poyser, Logansport; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, Jerry and Joe.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, with celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery, North Webster.
Calling is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
