Jeanette Elizabeth Heath, 90, went to be with her Lord at 9:17 a.m. Jan. 23, 2010.
She was born May 16, 1919, in Fulton County, to Alva and Esther E. Grubbs Summers. In 1941, she married Homer W. Murphy, who lost his life Dec. 26, 1944, in service to his country during World War II. On Nov. 9, 1946, she married Robert V. Heath, who died in 1981.
She was a resident of the Clunette area most of her life. She was a member of Stony Point Ladies Aide and a former member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 49. She was well known in the area for the many homemade noodles and pies she shared with her family, friends and neighbors.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Murphy (and fiancee, Becky Weimer); a daughter, Peggy Waggoner; a granddaughter, Laura (and spouse Mark) Eckman; a grandson, Perry Waggoner, all of Warsaw; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond, who died Aug. 18, 1987, and Edward Summers, who died Dec. 6, 2009.
A celebration of her life will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Wanda Carter officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
A time of sharing with the family will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
