Jason Scheuer entered eternal life on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at the young age of 37. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lauren, who survives him. Jason was a devoted husband, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle and a treasured friend to so many.
An avid skier, hiker and outdoor enthusiast, Jason found joy in every adventure.
Growing up, soccer was his greatest passion. As captain of his high school team in Warsaw, he led his teammates to the regional finals. He continued his love of sport at Manchester University, where he played soccer and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics.
After graduation, Jason moved to Colorado, where he spent the past 12 years pursuing his second love — downhill skiing. He cherished his time as a ski instructor at Winter Park, where he taught hundreds of eager kids to ski and formed lifelong friendships along the way. Jason then pursued multiple career paths before finding his ultimate calling as a construction superintendent, which allowed his wild spirit to avoid a desk and combine his gift for mentoring people with his expertise in building.
Jason is survived by his wife, Lauren; his parents, Paul and Susan (Lowe) Scheuer, Warsaw; his brother, Matthew; and sister-in-law, Sarah (Mullin) Scheuer, Granger; and their five children: Ronan, Brogan, Conlan, Kellan and Callahan, He is also survived by his in-laws, Kirk and Lisa Tatusko; Longmont, Colo.; his sister-in-law, Megan; and a large extended family who loved him deeply.
Jason will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unwavering loyalty and the joy he brought to all who knew him. His faith gives us the assurance that while his earthly journey has ended, his eternal life has only just begun.
A memorial Mass will take place in Warsaw at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
