NORTH WEBSTER – Janet E. DeVittorio, 78, North Webster, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Dec. 10, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 14, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Murray G. and Margaret Barnes Hawk.
She graduated from Brush High School in Lyndhurst, Ohio, and from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. She grew up in Ohio and had lived in Illinois, Georgia, Virginia, England and Indiana before moving to the Syracuse-North Webster area 28 years ago from Frankfort, Ill.
Formerly employed at New Beginnings Daycare in Milford, she was a teacher/tutor, and worked at a library in Illinois. She was a member of the North Webster Church of God.
Surviving are three daughters: Kim (and spouse Jeff King) DeVittorio, Dripping Springs, Texas; Kristin DeVittorio, Fort Wayne; and Allison DeVittorio, Elkhart; and one grandson, Joshua Frankel. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ann Houlihan; and a brother, John Hawk.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Church of God, 302 N. Main St., North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating.
Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
