NORTH WEBSTER — Jane A. Shepherd, 64, North Webster, passed away at 12:51 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 27, 1953, in La Rochelle, France, to Sgt. Dallas F. and Marguerite J. “Peggy” Buis.
She was a lifetime North Webster area resident and graduated in 1971 from Wawasee High School, Syracuse. She was married on July 9, 1977, in North Webster, to Dexter Shepherd, who survives.
She was in the banking industry for many years, worked in many of the local banks, and formerly worked at G.T.I. in Leesburg.
She was raised in the Catholic church, formerly attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Pierceton, and attended the Church of the Brethren, North Webster.
She formerly served on the North Webster Town Board.
She is survived by her husband, Dexter Shepherd, North Webster; a daughter, Nicky Buis, North Webster; a granddaughter, Emma; and two sisters, Betsy (Ralph) Luce, North Webster, and Kim (Phil) Smith, Leesburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Suzy Shock and Kelly Buis.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 4, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Wyman officiating.
Burial will be in the Mock Addition of North Webster Cemetery.
