James A. ‘Jim’ Goddard

NORTH WEBSTER – James A. “Jim” Goddard, 72, of Leesburg, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, at his residence.

He was born on June 2, 1946, in Plymouth, to Vernon and Maxine E. Morris Goddard. He was a lifetime area resident and graduated in 1965 from North Webster High School.

On July 23, 1965, in Leesburg, he married Margaret J. “Maggie” Burns, who preceded him on Feb. 24, 2010.

He retired in 2006 from Zimmer Inc. in Warsaw in the shipping department. He was formerly employed at Monarch Lumber Co. in Syracuse and Lyall Electric in North Webster.

He attended church at the Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake and formerly attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego.

He is survived by two grandchildren, Jeff Goddard of Warsaw and Jill Goddard of North Webster; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Bell of Winona Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, David Goddard; and sister, Carolyn Goddard.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and C.R. 500N, North Webster.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the funeral home.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.

Burial will take place at a later date in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
