SYRACUSE — Jacqueline Kay “Jackie” Coy, 82, Milford, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Milford, to Gerald B. and Louise A. Smaltz Coy.

She was a lifetime Milford area resident and attended Milford public schools. She formerly worked at Weatherhead Corp., Syracuse, for 10 years; N.I.A., Nappanee, for five years; Super Value Stores, Milford, for several years; and was an apartment manager for Coy/Neer Apartments, Milford, for many years.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Milford, since 1958 and formerly attended Bethel Church of the Brethren, Milford.

She is survived by a son, Rodney A. Coy, South Whitley; a sister, Genevieve L. “Jenny” (Jon) Bushong, Syracuse; two brothers, Alan W. Coy, Milford, and Reggie E. (Deb) Coy, Leesburg; 15 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sherrie C. Ochs; two brothers, Lloyd and Ermal Coy; a niece, Tammy Kaufman; and a nephew, Stuart W. Coy.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Milford Cemetery, with Pastor Brad Cox of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating.
