INDIANAPOLIS – Inez D. Aikins, 92, longtime resident of Indianapolis, passed away Dec. 9, 2018, in Warsaw.
Born Feb. 12, 1926, in Allen County, Ky., Inez was preceded in death by husband, Elvin Dale (1922-2006); parents, Jeanie and Raydell Roark; sister, Virginia Wilson; and nephew, Burl Wilson.
Inez will be greatly missed by her two children, Ronald (Donna) and Jerry (Sharie); three grandchildren: J.D. (Beth), Emily and Dan (Lauren); and three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Kaylynn and Madison.
Inez moved to Indianapolis in 1944 and married her husband, Dale, on the Fourth of July, 1947. They remained married for 58 years until Dale’s death.
Viewing will be held at the G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, followed by a brief service and procession to the cemetery. More information is available at www.ghherrmann.com/obituaries.
