Recently, I observed workers from the Indiana Department of Transportation repairing and replacing the fence along Frontage Road adjacent to U.S. 30. In addition, they completely cleared the fence line of all the scrub trees, vines and undergrowth that had grown up along the fence and in the ditch.Late this summer, I mentioned to our State Representative Dave Wolkins how bad this entrance to our community looked. Dave contacted INDOT Deputy Commissioner Bob Alderman and Tony Mayo and alerted them of this eyesore. Shortly after Dave's contact, Tony Mayo called to indicate that they would get this project completed as soon as their schedule permitted.
Now as our visitors enter Warsaw on U,S, 30 they no longer will see a fence that was leaning on its side or missing and all the scrub trees and undergrowth. Now it is up to us citizens when driving along the Frontage Road to keep on the lookout for anyone tossing their trash out where all can see.
Thank you, Representative Dave Wolkins, Bob Alderman and Tony Mayo for your assistance with this project.
