Indecent Exposure Charge In Pierceton

Posted
PIERCETON –  A Pierceton man is facing charges after police say he stripped naked  and exposed himself to a woman on U.S. 30.
Austin Frush, 22, of 204 W. Elm St., Pierceton, is facing  a misdemeanor charge of  indecent exposure.
Police say Frush admitted to exposing himself to a woman he didn’t know on U.S. 30 and told officers that he followed her home because she “looked good,” according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the Kosciusko?County Prosecutor’s Office. Police allege Frush told them this wasn’t the first time he had exposed him to a random woman.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy Thomas Waikel responded to the  call when a woman reported the alleged incident Nov. 15.
The woman told the officers a car had followed her home from several miles away, the affidavit states.
She told police she thought the man was going to ask directions. As she approached the man’s car, he was naked and touching himself.
The woman yelled at the man, who just looked at her and said, “What?” She yelled for her husband, who was working outside, the affidavit states.
The car began to leave the area, and the woman ran behind the vehicle to get the license plate number.
Police were able to  trace the plate to a car owned by Frush.
Pierceton?Town Marshal Tim Sammons and Winona Lake Town Marshal Joe Hawn stopped the car on U.S. 30.
Frush was driving the vehicle, not wearing a shirt and his pants were undone when police stopped him, the affidavit states. KCSD deputy Rick Shepherd read Frush his rights and conducted the interview when police said he confessed.
Frush is currently is out on bond.
