Immoral PC Police

Editor, Times-Union:
The right to free speech is one of the most treasured amendments we have. Most of us can’t name many of the other amendments, but everyone knows free speech.
Somehow, people have come to use it in very specific ways. They use it to make their foul language somehow more acceptable, blasphemy to show vehemence, immoral and disgusting artwork to express themselves.
As much as I am against all of this personally, my biggest problem is what they expect others not to speak of. Things like a real and loving God; that the Bible speaks of “love for all” of us, but that actions such as lust, murder, hatred, a gay lifestyle, gluttony, adultery, etc., he cannot abide; love of country, living in truth; the use of the words “terrorist” and “jihad”.
All of these things, and so many more, aren’t supposed to be talked of in public. At best, you’ll get some funny looks. At worst, you’ll end up in court, being sued for what you said, even though you Constitutionally have a right to say it! It’s a hate crime now!  So free speech only really exists for liberals, those who live on the edge of society, the immoral. Christians and those who live moral lives are considered the oddballs and slanderers.
Hey, PC police, the First Amendment is for all of us, not only those you protect.
