I would like to continue to be able to view Center Lake as I hike around Central Park. Perhaps many other senior citizens feel the same way.
Putting up an ice rink and increasing the height of Center Lake Pavilion would contribute to a “closed-in” feeling and harm the present low-key ambiance of Central Park.
Perhaps the Gattke building could be torn down and the ice rink located there.
