Warsaw’s girls cross country team took seven of the top eight places, and the boys squad had six of the first eight finishers in a sweep of Goshen Tuesday. The Lady Tigers won 20-43, and the boys score was 17-43.
Mallory Hooks was second in the girls race, followed by Lauren Orr, Allison Miller, Tsige Berelsman, Charlene Orr, Amanda Hermann and Anna Craig taking the 3-8 spots, respectively.
Zeb Hernandez, Lucas Howett and Xavi Hernandez claimed the top three spots for the Tigers. Taylor Mills was fifth, Nathaniel Gottschalk sixth and Justin Flemming eighth for Warsaw.
The Lady Tiger junior varsity swept the top seven spots in their 15-50 win over Goshen.
Warsaw’s next races will be Saturday in the New Prairie Invitational.

Warsaw Golf Beats Triton, Whitko
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Warsaw girls golf team was led by medalist Madi Graham, who posted a 42, to beat Triton and Whitko at Sycamore Golf Club Tuesday. The Lady Tigers finished with a 185 to Triton’s 220 and Whitko’s 242.
Delaney Wihebrink turned in a 45 for Warsaw, with Izzy Ray shooting a 48, Page Desenberg a 50 and Madelyn Ray a 53.
Kate Gardner and Megan McFarland posted matching 53s for Triton. Tessa Heaton shot a 54 and Alysha May a 60 for the Lady Trojans.
Whitko’s Kennedy Krull shot a 50, Claire Reiff a 51, Holly Hathaway a 69, and Makayla Compton a 72.
The match closed out the regular season for Warsaw. Triton will take on Plymouth today, and Whitko plays Columbia City Thursday. All three teams will play in the sectional at Stonehenge on Saturday.

Lady Tiger VB Sweeps Columbia City
Playing its second home match of the season, Warsaw defeated Columbia City 25-22, 25-20, 25-21 in a non-conference volleyball match Tuesday.
Nikki Parrett had 13 kills and Alexie Day added 12 more for the Lady Tigers, who improved to 9-7 on the season.
Warsaw’s junior varsity and freshman teams also recorded sweeps over the Lady Eagles. The JV won 25-14, 25-13 and improved its record to 14-1 overall. The Lady Tiger freshman won 25-8, 25-17 and are now undefeated in 17 matches.
Warsaw returns to Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday when it travels to Plymouth.

Triton Sweeps Lady Eagles
ELKHART – Nichole Sechrist had 14 kills and three aces, and Courtney Jennings added 10 kills for Triton in its 25-20, 25-23, 25-23 win at Elkhart Christian Tuesday evening.
Hannah Wanemacher recorded 33 assists, Quinn Downing had 13 digs and Charlotte Morris had three blocks for the Lady Trojans.
Triton’s junior varsity won in three sets, 25-19, 9-25, 15-14 over the Lady Eagles.
Triton (10-5) will host Bethany Christian in the Trojan Trench on Thursday.
Manchester Beats Canterbury In 5 Sets
FORT WAYNE – Manchester took the first two sets before holding off a comeback by Fort Wayne Canterbury for a 25-16, 25-21, 19-25, 22-25, 15-13 win Tuesday night.
Cierra Carter had 12 kills, Kendra Auler was credited with 23 assists, and Emma West had 19 digs for the Lady Squires.

LCA Edges Culver
WINONA LAKE – Noel Blum scored twice for Lakeland Christian Academy, including the game-winner in the 79th minute, in its 2-1 win over visiting Culver Community Tuesday night.
Blum’s first goal gave LCA a 1-0 lead at halftime. Cougar goalkeeper Cross Williams was credited with three saves, and Josh Turner had the assist on Blum’s game-winning goal.
The Cougars (5-3) travel to Lakewood Park Christian School in Auburn for a match Saturday.
Trojans Sweep Lancers
BOURBON – Triton’s three singles players dropped one game between them, and both doubles teams won in straight sets in the Trojans’ 5-0 boys tennis win over LaVille in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play Tuesday.

WABASH – Wabash’s boys tennis team swept Manchester 5-0 in Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday.
The Squires will host conference rival Whitko on Thursday.
Valley Swept By Peru
AKRON – The Peru Tigers earned a 5-0 win at Tippecanoe Valley in Three Rivers Conference boys tennis action Tuesday. The match was a make-up for an Aug. 30 rainout.
Valley travels to Maconaquah for a TRC match today.
Tiger Soccer Blanks NorthWood
NAPPANEE – Garrett Reinholt, Cole Voss, Blake Burns and Alvaro Aguillon scored goals for visiting Warsaw in its 4-0 Northern Lakes Conference boys soccer win over visiting NorthWood. The victory was the first against three losses in the NLC for the Tigers.
The Tiger junior varsity also won by a 4-0 count. Adam Brown scored twice for Warsaw, with Jose Sanchez getting the first goal and Isaiah Van Pufflen netting the last point for the Tigers.
Now 3-6-2 overall, Warsaw will host Fort Wayne North Side on Saturday.
