Editor, Times-Union: I would like to draw the attention of those who may not be aware of a free education program that is available in Kosciusko County and throughout the state. Through this program you would have resources for information about, and participation in, activities regarding good nutrition, child development, family relations, home management of time, energy and money.
This program is made available though sponsorship of Purdue University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Kosciusko County.
A good way to avail yourself of these opportunities is by joining one of the many Kosciusko County Extension Homemaker Clubs. Clubs will also enable you to share ideas and to expand your leadership abilities. Membership is open to all persons regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, or disability.
I would like to invite you to call the Kosciusko County Extension Office at 574-372-2340 and ask them for information about a club in your area. You may have noticed an article each week in the Times-Union written by Joan Younce. She is the Kosciusko County Extension educator. Get informed from her column, but go a little farther and join one of our friendly clubs.
I am a member of The Merry Tones Extension Homemaker Club. We are the committee for the membership drive this year, and would welcome new members or questions about our organization.
