A Silver Lake man charged with malicious mischief for allegedly exposing yet another woman to HIV has been arrested five times and faces 11 felony charges across four counties involving at least six victims for the same charge. Travis Spoor, 37, of 10255 S. CR 200W, Silver Lake, was arrested for the fifth time on a malicious mischief charge Monday. Spoor is accused of violating state law by not telling the women he was sleeping with he was HIV positive. The most recent charge results from an incident in March when a woman met and slept with Spoor, who was using a fake a name on Match.com. Spoor allegedly posed as a man named Ray Hilderman on Match.com and met with the victim during the first week of March. After he left his wallet behind, the victim discovered Spoor had lied about his name, court documents allege. After a Google search, the victim found several news articles about Spoor’s past arrests for failing to disclosure he was HIV-positive. According to prior court records, it is not the first time Spoor allegedly lied to attract women. Spoor, who lost a hand in an accident, allegedly told girls stories about how he lost the appendage. One of the victims told police that Spoor told her he lost his hand in Iraq. He allegedly told her he was riding in a Humvee when it hit a IED, she said. Other victims said Spoor told them he was injured in an accident, court documents allege. Prior to Monday’s arrest, Spoor was already scheduled to face jury trials in Kosciusko and Allen counties this year. Spoor’s Kosciusko County trial is set for June 13 in Kosciusko Superior Court I where he faces two charges of malicious mischief. The trial in Allen County is set for Aug. 22 , according to Danielle Edenfield, chief investigator at the Allen County Prosecutor's Office. Spoor also is facing two additional malicious mischief charges in Marshall County and one in Wabash County, according to public records. The arrests began in 2016, when the first victim met with an Indiana State Police trooper. The victim said she had unprotected sex with him four times and her friend had told her Spoor was sick. She said Spoor was taking “a lot of pills,” according to court records. Spoor sent a text messages denying he was HIV-positive. The ISP trooper obtained Spoor’s medical records and found that he did have HIV and signed a form from the Indiana Department Health requiring him to inform people of his illness before sleeping with them. That investigation led to the first two charges in Kosciusko County. In February 2016, a Bourbon woman reported to ISP that she had sexual relations with Spoor in late 2013. She told police she had unprotected sex with Spoor in both Marshall and Allen counties. She said that he never disclosed to her he had the virus. She found out about Spoor’s illness from reading a news article about his first arrest. Later in February 2016, a third victim came forward with a similar story. She had met Spoor on the internet and began a sexual relationship. The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges on behalf of the second and third victims Oct. 7. Since the second victim said they had sex in Allen County, police began to investigate there. The ISP trooper found two more Allen County victims, one who said that she had sex with Spoor in?Wabash County. Again, they had similar stories: that they met Spoor on the internet, had unprotected sex with him and found out he was HIV, court documents allege. Spoor never told any of the girls he had HIV, and all them found out through friends or news articles, court documents allege. Spoor is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a bond of $251,000.
