Valley Wrestlers 4-1 At Wabash Tournament

WABASH – Tippecanoe Valley went 4-1 at the Wabash Invitational wrestling tournament Saturday. The Vikings fell to the host Apaches 64-10, won 40-35 over Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, 60-24 over Winamac, 46-27 over North Miami and 54-28 over Heritage.

Jon Humes went 5-0 with three pins at 152 pounds. Haley Hoover (106 pounds), Jacob Eherenman (138) Jordan Owens (145), Chevy Teeter (160) and Isaac Randall (170) won four matches each. Joseph Irons won three matches at 182 pounds. Haylee Brown (113), Luis Castillo (126) Seth Hoffman (132) and Ian Becker (220) won twice each.

Valley will compete in the Whitko Quad on Wednesday.

Three Warsaw Wrestlers Win At W. Noble Tourney

LIGONIER – Three Warsaw wrestlers won three matches each at the West Noble Super Duals wrestling tournament Saturday.

Isaiah Owens (106 pounds), Grayson Drudge (182) and Brock Hueber (195) each went 3-1 for the Tigers, who dropped all four of their team matches.

Warsaw returns to Northern Lakes Conference competition Thursday, hosting Goshen.



Squires 6th At East Noble Invitational

KENDALLVILLE – Delton Moore was champion at 170 pounds, leading Manchester to a sixth-place finish at Saturday’s East Noble Invitational.

Ethan Shambarger (113 pounds) and Tyce Rooney (120) collected second-place finishes. Jackson Mathias (126), Wade France (152) and Ashton Moore (182) each finished fourth, and Kevin Morales (132), Trey McNall (195) and Bryce Kamphues 285) finished fifth.

Manchester will compete in a three-way match with Triton at Churubusco Wednesday night.
