Lady Squire Volleyball Wins 5-Set Match At Bluffton

BLUFFTON – Sydney Day had 10 kills and four digs, and Kara Kline and Anna Osborne had nine kills each for Manchester in its 17-25, 25-11, 25-21, 13-25, 15-6 non-conference volleyball win at Bluffton Monday.

Osborne had a team-high three aces for the Lady Squires. Ali Sites and Emma West had 14 digs each in the winning cause.

Manchester swept the junior varsity match 25-23, 25-11 over Bluffton. Mackenzie Day had four kills and Andrea Kahn had three aces in that match.

Manchester returns to the court today, hosting Fort Wayne Canterbury at 7 p.m.

Tigers Fall At Penn

OSCEOLA – Erin Peugh had 22 digs, and Alexie Day had six kills for Warsaw in its 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 non-conference volleyball loss at Penn Monday.

Kennedy Lauck, Hannah Leach and Kacy Bragg had four kills each, with Betty Barnett adding two kills. Lauck added a pair of blocks in the match.

Penn won the junior varsity contest 25-18, 25-21 over Warsaw. McKenna Hawblitzel had 16 digs for the Lady Tigers, with Kylie Prater adding 14 digs and Gwyn Bellamy adding 10 kills for Warsaw.

The Lady Tiger freshmen dropped a 25-22, 25-23, 15-8 decision to the Lady Kingsmen. Tessa Wood had nine kills, Sydney Morel had 10 digs, Kendra Love 17 assists, and Allison Zartman three aces for Warsaw.

Warsaw returns to Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday, hosting Plymouth.



Lady Vikings Win In 4 Sets

AKRON – Sophie Bussard had 22 digs and 18 kills, and Makenzie Woodcox had 14 kills for Tippecanoe Valley in its 25-17, 21-25, 25-12, 25-19 non-conference volleyball victory over visiting Columbia City Monday.

Emily Peterson had 39 assists, and Shayleigh Shriver had three aces in the match for the Lady Vikings.

Valley won the junior varsity match 25-5, 15-25, 15-11 over the Lady Eagles. Sarah Myers had 10 assists, and Mackenzie Costello had five kills for the Lady Vikings. Sidney Wagner and Allison Betten had three aces each, Hayley Backus had two blocks and Betten recorded three digs in the match.

Tippecanoe Valley (12-5) travels to Lakeville for a non-conference match with LaVille today.

Lady Zebras Sweep Whitko

ROCHESTER – Hannah Sikora had 21 assists and an ace for Whitko in its 25-9, 25-18, 25-18 Three Rivers Conference volleyball loss to Rochester Monday.

Kristina Slater had 18 digs, Haley Howard had eight kills and an ace, and Carissa Beck had six kills for Whitko.

Whitko hosts Central Noble in a non-conference match today.



Wawasee Falls In 4 Sets

SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s volleyball losing streak sits at seven after its 25-11, 25-19, 19-25, 25-15 loss to visiting Westview Monday night.

Hannah Gaerte had five kills for Wawasee, with Brooke Heche adding 16 digs and five aces. Peyton Rookstool had eight digs, and Tiffany Koble had seven digs in the match.

The Lady Warrior junior varsity won 25-23, 25-20 over Westview. Kenzie Click had six digs and two kills for Wawasee. Ella Williamson had six aces and five digs, Molly Jones had six kills, Ava Rush had two kills and Taylor Fraley three aces for the Lady Warriors.

Next up for Wawasee (1-13) is a Northern Lakes Conference match at Concord Thursday.
