Tigers Blank NorthWood

Joaquin Juarez scored off an assist from Blake Burns, and Eric Ocock scored a second goal in the first half to lead Warsaw to a 2-0 Northern Lakes Conference boys soccer win over NorthWood Tuesday.

Colton Wottring recorded the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

The Tiger junior varsity improved to 6-3 with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. Jose Lara had a pair of goals in the match.

Warsaw (8-3-2) hosts Elkhart Central in a non-conference bout at 5 p.m. Saturday.

LCA Falls To Cavaliers

CULVER – Sophomore Parker Stewart scored both goals for visiting Lakeland Christian Academy in its 3-2  boys soccer loss at Culver Community Tuesday.

The Cougars held a 1-0 lead at halftime, thanks to a Stewart goal off an assist from Garrett McCoomb. The Cavaliers scored all three of their goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half.

Now 3-7, Lakeland Christan will host Lakewood Park Christian Thursday.



Wawasee Falls To Columbia City

SYRACUSE – Sara Pritchard scored an unassisted goal in the first half, and Meghan Beer converted a penalty kick in the second half for Wawasee in its 7-2 non-conference girls soccer loss to visiting Columbia City Tuesday at Warrior Field.

Next up for the Lady Warriors is a match at Elkhart Christian on Tuesday.
