Lady Vikings Get Non-Conference VB Win At Oak Hill

CONVERSE – Shayleigh Shriver had 12 kills and Emily Peterson had 32 assists to lead Tippecanoe Valley to a 25-12, 25-19, 23-25, 25-13 non-conference volleyball win at Oak Hill Monday night.

Olivia Trippiedi had nine digs and Hannah Durkes three aces for the Lady Vikings.

The Valley junior varsity lost 25-19, 25-20 to Oak Hill. Sidney Wagoner had four kills and three aces for Valley. Hayley Backus had four kills, Allison Betten six digs and Hannah Engstrand eight assists in the match.

Valley (17-8) plays a non-conference match at Culver Community Thursday.



Hat Trick Gives Lady ‘Cats Conference Soccer Win

PERU – Whitko freshman Breanna Keirn scored three goals to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 3-1 Three Rivers Conference girls soccer win at Peru Monday evening.

Freshman goalkeeper Kaylee Gaff had 13 saves in her first 80-minute game.

The Lady Wildcats (2-13 overall, 2-3 TRC) close out their regular season with a non-conference match at Columbia City Wednesday.

Eagles Down Wildcats

SOUTH WHITLEY – Devon Akers won at No. 2 singles for Whitko in its 3-2 non-conference boys tennis loss to visiting Churubusco Monday.

Whitko’s other point came with a forfeit at No. 3 singles.

The Wildcats wrap up their regular season with a non-conference match today at Prairie Heights.



Wawasee Volleyball Falls At Northridge


MIDDLEBURY – Elizabeth Kleopfer had four kills and six assists, with Brooke Heche adding four aces and 12 digs for Wawasee in its 25-21, 25-20, 25-18 Northern Lakes Conference loss at Northridge Monday night.

Peyton Rookstool had nine digs and three kills for Wawasee. Hannah Gaerte has four kills, Hannah-Marie Lamle three kills and Tiffany Koble eight digs for the Lady Warriors.

Wawasee (4-21, 0-5 NLC) travels to Elkhart Memorial Thursday.



Zebras Best Squires

NORTH MANCHESTER – Spence Trick won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles for Manchester, giving the Squires their only win in a 4-1 Three Rivers Conference boys tennis loss to visiting Rochester Monday.

The remaining four matches were straight-set wins for the Zebras.

Grant Stroble had the only win for Manchester among five junior varsity matches.

Manchester finished its regular season with an 8-5 record, 3-3 in the conference. The Squires open play in the Peru Sectional Wednesday against the host Tigers.
