Lady Vikings Earn Road Win Over Plymouth
PLYMOUTH – Tippecanoe Valley had three players in double figures in its 47-41 non-conference girls basketball win at Plymouth Thursday night.
Sophie Bussard had 12 points for the Lady Vikings, with Emily Peterson and Asia O’Connor adding 10 points each. Addy Miller scored eight points for Valley.
O’Connor pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
Plymouth won the junior varsity game 25-11. Haley Backus led Valley with four points.
Valley’s varsity will take a 7-1 record into its Three Rivers Conference game Saturday night at Wabash.

Valley Swimmers Sweep Wabash In TRC Meet
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley’s boys swim team won 11 of 12 events, and the Lady Vikings won six events to sweep Wabash in Three Rivers Conference competition Thursday. The boys score was 112-68 and the Lady Vikes won 90-83.
Daniel Alexander was a double winner, taking the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle for the Viking boys. Mason Stephen won the 50 free and the 100 backstroke. Chase Brower, took first in the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke.
Other winners for Valley included: Dakota Prater, 200 free; Travis Shull, diving; and Camden Tucker, 100 free. Valley also won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
Olivia Livengood was a double winer for the Lady Vikings, taking the 500 free and the 100 butterfly. Other winners for the Lady Vikings were Jerzey Conley in the 200 free, Mayde Fear in the 50 free and Tiphanie Hodge in diving. The 400 freestyle relay team sealed the team win with a victory in the last event of the meet.
Valley will compete in the Culver Academies Invitational on Saturday.

Warsaw Gets NLC Swim Sweep At NorthWood
NAPPANEE – Warsaw swimmers swept a Northern Lakes Conference meet at NorthWood Thursday, with the boys winning 112-62 and the Lady Tigers earning a 134-52 victory.
The Tigers had a pair of double winners: Zach LaLonde won the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, and Alex Cook won the 50 and 100 freestyle races. Grant Knight took first in the 100 breaststroke, Nathan Taylor the 100 butterfly and the Tigers won all three relay races.
Lady Tiger double winners were Taylor Gunter in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly and Lauren Kuhl the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Delaney Wihebrink won the 100 breaststroke, Olivia Herman the 50 free and Laurel Moeller the 200 free. The Warsaw ladies swept the top three places in the 200 IM and 50 free, and won all three relay races.
Warsaw will host its invitational Saturday.
