Helen M. Maxwell, 92, Warsaw, passed away at 11 p.m. Sept. 21, 2014, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation, Warsaw. She was born April 27, 1922, in Carroll County, to Samuel and Rose Fife Bechdolt. In March 1939, she married Leonard Maxwell, who died June 16, 1996. A former Camden resident, she resided in Warsaw since 1968. She worked on the family farm prior to moving to Warsaw, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren, Camden. Survivors include her daughter, Karen (and spouse Mark) Swinger, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Melanie (and spouse Mark) Vanlaningham, Mentone, and Bob Swinger, Warsaw; three great-grandchildren: Ben and Sam Vanlaningham; and Emily (and spouse Chad) Dennie. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cree Funeral Home, 188 W. Main St., Camden, with Mark Vanlaningham officiating. Burial is in Musselman Cemetery, Camden. Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
