This letter is long overdue and concerns the letter to the Wabash Plain Dealer from Susan Fagin a month or so ago. The sick feeling in the pit of my stomach has become far worse than I ever thought it would, and letters like hers both confirm what I've said, and nauseate me.
I am not aware of the editorial that spawned her venom, but God bless you whatever it was because she very neatly confirmed that when anyone disagrees with this government that the "left, liberals, progressives and radicals" come at us with both barrels attacking us as "racists" and "haters." Anyone who knows my family knows that's a load of whatever you want to call it.
May I say, please Dear God, for the last time 1.) this is not about race and 2.) the lie they call "healthcare reform" is the largest takeover of the private sector ever inflicted on the good people of this country. I do want to applaud her as the true gem of her letter was this: "The Health Care Reform legislation will for the first time in ages begin to redistribute our nation's wealth." Biting my tongue, who gives them the right to redistribute this nation's wealth? What does it have to do with health care reform? Who among us has owned slaves, and who among us is not now a slave to this government and its stinking laws?
I challenge any of you who believe that redistribution of wealth is a good thing - you go first.
Medical and insurance costs and government regulations are making this country sick and are destroying lives. Since when is it a good idea for insurance companies to dictate to doctors what tests or medications to give or not? De-regulate, allow competition between states. Costs will go down. We don't need to be forced to buy insurance, have our taxes raised or our wealth stolen for those with their hands out, who will walk away empty handed because they believed a lie.
Approximately 70 percent of our legal - yes, I said it - population who disagree with this radical government are being demeaned, ignored and discredited. Violence is the radicals game, not ours (the lambs of all shades and ethnicites being led to slaughter). Expect violence to erupt and be blamed on "us", that's how they play.
As for the enormously wealthy 5 percent who pay 70 percent of all taxes and provide jobs, don't forget that 40 to 50 percent of the population don't pay taxes, and often get large refunds. Believe it or not the wealthiest 5 percent are also of all shades and ethnicities, not just a bunch of rich white guys. Who's the racist?
Another gem, Ms. Fagin said, "A press that plays on people's prejudices is more dangerous than no press at all." Bingo! The mainstream media, current administration and opinions like hers do exactly that. I say a press that doesn't report the truth is more dangerous than no press at all.
