BOURBON – Hazel “Skip” D. Ewing, 92, formerly of Etna Green, passed away at 4:28 a.m. June 28, 2015, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, where she resided. She was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Etna Green, to Jacob and Thelma Thomas Hight. On Feb. 26, 1942, she married Jack A. Ewing, who preceded her in death March 18, 1966. She was a lifelong resident of Etna Green. She was a very faithful member of the Etna Green Church of Christ. She was a member of the ONO Club and a graduate of Etna Green High School. She had been an accounts payable clerk for a mobile home manufacturer and later on was the accounts payable clerk for Triton School Corporation. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include: a daughter-in-law, Tanya Thomas, New Cumberland, Pa.; two granddaughters, Amanda May and Andrea Ewing; a grandson, W. Aron Thomas; three great-grandchildren: Sasha Hollett, Michaela Vuittonet and Layla Gervais; three great-great-granddaughters; and three great-great-grandsons. She also was preceeded in death by two sons: Brian and Alan Ewing; a grandson, Shawn R. Thomas; and two sisters: Betty Hight Stouder and Aleta Long. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Etna Green Church of Christ, 206 W. Broadway St., Etna Green, with Pastor Dan Johnson officiating. Burial is in Etna Green Cemetery.
