Hattie M. Howard, 83, of Silver Lake, died at 10 p.m. Aug. 24, 2011, in Good Shepherd Hospice House, Sebring, Fla.

She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Salyersville, Ky., to Kindile and Susie Brown England. On Sept. 1, 1942, she married Hargus Howard.

Living most of her life in Silver Lake, she was a homemaker and was an assembly line worker for DANA Corp. She was a member of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake.

Surviving are a son, Ralph (and spouse Cindy) Howard, Warsaw; three daughters, Carolyn (and spouse Steve) Lister and Mary Trout, all of Sebring, Fla., and Bonnie Lou (and spouse Jim) Mettler, Brandon, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Wireman, Salyersville, Ky. She was preceded in death by a son, Woodrow Howard; her parents, Kindile and Susie England; and four brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake, officiated by Pastor Frank Whitaker of the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
