Editor, Times-Union: I go on record publicly to concur with the recent article by Times-Union General Manager Gary Gerard on the workings and the process of a grand jury, most importantly that all given indictments by a grand jury against those so named in Kosciusko Co., as brought forth at this time by said Grand Jury, are innocent until proven guilty. I would caution all to allow the grand jury process to function as is the case regarding Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine. In my some 51 years serving a public trust, including service as an Indiana State Trooper, there appear to be some unanswered questions of involvement with the aforementioned grand jury's indictments. With that said, I have had the opportunity to observe and work with Sheriff Rovenstine firsthand over a good many years and I can say that during this time, I have never had occasion to doubt his personal and professional character, nor his integrity as a public servant and as a Christian person. Over the lifetime of a person, one's actions create a track record, especially readily available and observed to others by those in public service. Sheriff Rovenstine has established a positive track record as a public servant and at this time with the current grand jury indictments against Sheriff Rovenstine do allow the process to be fully carried out. I wholeheartedly support Sheriff Rovenstine. Kent Adams Winona Lake, via email
