MILFORD - Gloria Kay Baumgartner, 63, of Syracuse, died from ovarian cancer at 9:50 a.m. Nov. 23, 2008, in her residence.

She was born Feb. 15, 1945, in Warsaw, to Roman and Sarah Gerber Slabaugh. On Aug. 21, 1965, she married Ronald Baumgartner, who survives.

She lived in Milford from 1966 until moving to Syracuse in 1993. She was business manager of The Papers Inc. and attended Wawasee Community Bible Church. She was a member of Milford Columbia Reading Circle and Kosciusko County Community Foundation. She was a 1963 Milford High School graduate.

Also surviving are two daughters, Christine (and spouse Jeremy) Corson, Warsaw, and Jennifer Baumgartner, Syracuse; her mother, Sarah Slabaugh, Milford; three sisters, Delores (and spouse Donald) Boyd, Sebring, Fla.; Shirley Graff, Fort Wayne; and Patricia (and spouse John) Yeater, Chandler, Ariz.; and a granddaughter, Claire Corson, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Larry Slabaugh.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wawasee Community Bible Church, 2035 E. CR 1300N, Milford, with Pastor Tom Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford.
