MENTONE – Gloria Jean Eddington, 80, of 600 N. Colfax, Courts of Colfax Retirement Apartments, Warsaw, and formerly of Yuma, Ariz., died at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 12, 2011, in her residence.
She was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Elmore, Ohio, to Edward Ernest and Elvira Martha Knepper Flick. In Elmore, Ohio, she married Orville “Shorty” R. Eddington, who died April 23, 2008.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and crocheting.
Surviving are a daughter, Dawn (and spouse John) Williams, Mentone; two sons, Scott (and spouse Jan) Eddington, Evanston, Wyo., and Rodney (and spouse Polly) Eddington, Kaplan, La.; three sisters, Carol Beutler, Charlene Marales and Deanna Baumert; seven grandchildren, including a granddaughter, Nicole (and spouse Eric) Heckaman, Warsaw; and several great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Eddington.
A private memorial service will be at a later date.
King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, is in charge of arrangements.
