George Paul Springer, 75, Houston, Texas, passed away Sept. 18, 2013, at his residence. He was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Phillip and Josephine Menuch Springer. He was a college graduate. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st Class, in Sonseca, Spain, entering July 27, 1959, and discharged July 14, 1964. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Patricia Springer, Claypool; four nephews: Edward A. Springer, Garden City, Mo.; Mark Springer, Casa Grande, Ariz.; Thomas (and spouse Dianne) Springer, West Plain, Mo.; and David (and spouse Annie) Springer, Indianapolis; and several great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Springer, who died Feb. 3, 2012, and a half sister, Phyllis Miller. Private family services were Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Bob Jarboe Hospice Chaplain officiating.
