MARCELLUS, Mich. – Genevieve V. “Jennie” Hart, 91, of Milford, and formerly of Jones, Mich., died Jan. 28, 2012, in Lakeland Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Milford, following a long illness.
She was born Dec. 10, 1920, near Jones, to Raymond and Maud L. Pound Swinehart. On March 4, 1941, in Goshen, she married Charles W. Hart, who died Aug. 9, 1978.
She was a resident of Milford since 1995 and previous to that at North M-40 near Jones. In 1983 she retired as a rural mail carrier after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers. She formerly attended First Baptist Church of Newberg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus, with the Rev. Mike Owen officiating. Burial will be in Poe’s Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
