Frances Maxine Luft, 86, of Warsaw, died at 8:23 a.m. Feb. 7, 2009, in Bremen Health Care.
She was born April 8, 1922, in Velpen, to Syble and Catherine Myers Goff.
Moving to Warsaw from Grant Pass, Ore., she was manager of several restaurants and was a VA DOM volunteer for many years while living in Oregon. She was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran. PFC Frances G. Holsclaw served as a supply clerk with the 554th AAF Base Unit. She entered Sept. 11, 1944, and was honorably discharged Oct. 12, 1945, at Fort Sheridan, Ill. She was recipient of the Good Conduct Medal.
Surviving are a son, David (and spouse Darlene) Holsclaw, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Christopher and Jennifer Holsclaw, both of Warsaw; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Skyler, David II and Miah Holsclaw; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three husbands; a brother, J.D. Goff; and her parents.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126 and American Legion Post 49.
